Beth E. Koch is currently an Assistant Professor of Design at The University of Minnesota Duluth where she teaches typography, graphic design, and interactive design. She graduated with honors with an MFA in Design, Housing & Apparel with an emphasis in Interactive Design, and she holds a BFA in Visual Communications from Herron School of Art at Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis. In addition to her current appointment, Koch has taught at Marshall University in West Virginia, the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus, and she was Academic Director at The Art Institutes International Minnesota. Her experience includes all aspects of visual communications, graphic and packaging design, marketing communications, web and interactive design, and creative consulting. She has won numerous international, national, regional, and local awards including the prestigious CLIO, International Advertising Festival, Echo, Midwest Book Awards, AAAI Golden Circle, ADDYs, and the Mary Hoover Award for Teaching Excellence.
